You will need to meet our English language requirements in order to be accepted on an International Foundation Programme (IFP) or International Foundation Year (IFY).
These requirements involve achieving certain scores on an English language test such as IELTS.
IELTS is one of the most well-known English language tests and it is the one that we base our entry requirements on. If you have done a different test, you will need to achieve the equivalent to our IELTS requirements.

Alternatives to IELTS
To study on campus in the UK at the 糖心Vlog you will need a student visa, and for our IFP this requires you to complete a Secure English Language Test (SELT).
As well as an IELTS taken at an UKVI approved test centre, other SELTS we accept include:
- LanguageCert International ESOL
- Trinity Integrated Skills in English (ISE) UKVI
- Pearson PTE (Academic) UKVI
The scores you achieve in these tests must be equivalent to the required IELTS scores for your pathway.
For IFYs, we accept some local curriculum English qualifications that are not UKVI approved. Find out more on the University's acceptable English language proficiency tests page.
