Overview
A joint initiative between the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC), funding from the UK Department for International Development (DFID), and UK universities, to support scholarships for students from developing Commonwealth countries who could not otherwise study in the UK.
Eligibility
Citizen of, or granted refugee status by, an eligible Commonwealth country (or a British Protected Person); permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country; available to start studies in the UK by September 2026; not have studied or worked for a year or more in a high-income country; unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship; by September 2026 hold at least an upper second-class (2:1) honours degree, or a 2:2 plus a relevant postgraduate qualification.

Award details
Full funding: tuition fees, maintenance/living cost stipend, approved airfare to and from the UK, thesis grant if applicable, and a study travel grant if applicable.
